brand spotlight | baggu

Hey All! I hope your week is going well! I miss the summers in high school where I got to lay by the pool everyday and go to the movies every night. It feels like life never slows down now! We have been so busy lately - but such a good busy. We've gotten to see a lot of old friends and help new ones on their new adventures! We are planning a beach trip this Sunday after church and I have been dreaming about taking this Baggu that we have in the Rifle storefront with me! I have fallen so in love with Baggu and I wanted to feature them on Juke so I could share the love.

Baggu was started in 2007 by a mother-daughter team, Emily Sugihara and Joan Sugihara. They started with just 1 style of Baggu in 8 colors and have since expanded to carry canvas backpacks, leather purses, and everything in between. Their story is so cool, I recommend checking it out here! I'm obsessed that it's such a family company and the fact that they do everything they can to eliminate waste.

Here is my Baggu wishlist!

See, aren't they great?! I couldn't resist gushing over them any longer!

summer gardens

Last weekend John had some family in town visiting from TN. So naturally we had a nice little summer cook out! Lots of grilling, corn hole and even some bow and arrow! John's grandpa also has the best little garden growing! So many great veggies he has out there! A lot of them are still in their growing stage but we left left with plenty of yummy green beans and radishes. I will definitely be back in a few weeks for more!

Here are a few photos Johns brother Andy shot of us picking in the garden and shooting some bows:)

festival wear

pinterest
It almost feels like music festivals are becoming more about fashion and less about music but I'm not complaining about the fashion coming from their gates! From Coachella to Bonnaroo to Lollapalooza to Warped Tour to Beale Street - there have been some rad outfits and even better jewelry. Erik and I are gearing up to head out to the Orlando stop of Warped Tour this Sunday and you better believe I have my outfit strategically planned for what, I assume will be, the hottest day of my life.

These are some of my favorite shots from Coachella! Spoiler alert: I love the Kardashian's. (Including the Jenner's, too) I love Kendall's look from this years festival - I think she nailed it! I also spy Vannessa Hudgens wearing a Spell romper with some killer jewelry.

I think Bonnaroo's fashion is a little more laid back than Coachella's and I love all the denim that is incorporated. Again, the jewelry! I die. I'm a huge bracelet person and most of them, I can barely move my wrist. Anywhere that encourages excessive bracelet wearing is somewhere I want to be.

Warped! Sara and I are seasoned pro's when it comes to Warped fashion. Like I said, it's just literally the hottest ever so it's been our challenge to find outfits that will still keep you cool while not looking like you're wearing nothing. I'm obsessed with the all black look and also for the random just in case moments, a flannel is always in season.

Do you guys have any favorite festival trends?

lived in | white walls inspired

These days we are both totally loving on all of the white walls. The pureness sets the perfect base for that simplistic look. Simple and clean is my goal lately. It lets you showcase unique pieces and also allows you to bring color in very minimally. With pops of color from pillows to throws to art. I gathered just a few of my favorite Pinterest inspirations. It was so hard to narrow it down to just a few. Someday I will be painting all of the walls white. :)

thrifting pretty

The prettiest loft studio I ever did see! Oh how I loved playing dress up here! This perfect little place is in Chicago where an old friend, Louie Abellera, snapped some shots of this fun little vintage outfit! I found this skirt at our local thrift shop and just loved how flowy it is. It is very light weight so its great for summer day. Lets be honest though wearing a maxi is pretty much the best. You look stylish yet feel like you've got your soft clothes on! I encourage you, when you like a print but think the skirt looks dated, just try it on! A tied up tank, cute crop, or your your favorite necklace I love all of my Bashful Owl jewels) can pull it all together! Happy thrifting!

rifle paper co. new product showcase

the most beautiful flowers that my friend, Tammie, created. you may know her as Dear Whimsy - the most talented gal around.
We had a fun little event at work last Thursday that I am so excited to share with you! We sent out an invite to our local mailing list here in Winter Park, FL and we had some great people show up. Sarah Cox, our media relations manager, puts on a mean event and this one did not disappoint. We had wine, champagne, and empanada's from my favorite food truck, La Empanada! Anna Bond displayed her original paintings that created our new journals, cards, and calendars. It was so cool to see where the items we package and handle daily came from! I got to give tours of the studio which was SO fun for me! I love being in a crowd and getting to tell Rifle's story. Here are some pictures from the event - it was such a great night!
